South Island School won championship at the 26th Sing Tao Inter-school Debating Competition
South Island School beat Chinese International School and won championship at the 26th Sing Tao Inter-school Debating Competition (English Section) last Friday. The Grand Final of the inter-school debating competition was held at Queen Elizabeth Stadium. The motion of the day was "The MTR should withdraw the Fare Adjustment Mechanism". South Island School team was in favour and chinese International School was against the motion.
South Island School successfully defended their championship and won two years in a row, the fourth triumph in six years. Pavan Hegde also also took home the Best Debater Prize. "This is a really great experience for me," Hegde said.
