Dayna graduated from the National University of Singapore with double major in Philosophy and Economics along with a scholarship from the Singapore Air force. She attained her private pilot license under a shortlist for pilot training programme and joined the Development Bank of Singapore after her graduation.
In 2002, Dayna started a magazine company and worked along with the Ministry of Education in Singapore and became the sole distributor of about 60 government-owned kindergartens. She was also a co-owner of a special needs training center for children with learning disability since 2013. She is now a shareholder of an edutainment investment in China.
Dayna is an advisor for the parent committee for the Spastic Association in Hong Kong since 2014. She joined the Watchdog fundraising committee in 2011 and is currently on their business development committee. She is also currently an active member of the Autism committee of Fuhong Society, an NGO for autistic adult group in Hong Kong. She was in the school council board of Jockey Club Sarah Roe School (JCSRS) from 2010 to 2012.
