Jockey Club Sarah Roe School
Jockey Club Sarah Roe School (JCSRS) is a school catered for children with special educational needs (SEN) under the English Schools Foundation (ESF).
ESF is the largest provider of English-medium international education in Hong Kong. Our mission is to inspire creativity and nurture the global citizens and leaders of the future. We do this by creating joyful learning environments, led by a community of exceptional teachers who bring out the best in every child through a personalised approach to learning and by inspiring curious minds.
JCSRS is a specialist resource that supports students with a wide range of individual needs, ranging from profound and multiple, complex learning disabilities to autism, aged from 5 to19. The school strives to empower children and young people to maximise their potential, and where appropriate, make their transition into mainstream education through collaborative inclusion programmes. Every child has an Individualised Educational Programme consisting of literacy, numeracy, communication, personal and social education, and behaviour targets to which the school’s multidisciplinary team of therapists contributes as required. All students leaving the school at the end of their educational career do so with a record of achievement and portfolios of work that are accredited by ASDAN, an awarding body that is recognised by further education, commerce and industry.
