Jockey Club Sarah Roe School

The Jockey Club Sarah Roe School is a purpose built special school for children and young people who have severe learning difficulties. Some of our students have profound and multiple learning difficulties. We follow the National Curriculum for England and Wales, sufficiently differentiated to meet these children's needs.

The multi disciplinary staff consists of highly qualified and experienced teachers, a speech therapist, an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist and a nurse. The school has a range of excellent facilities, which are unique to Hong Kong. These include a hydrotherapy pool, specially designed changing and toileting areas, a light and sound room, medical, soft play and therapy rooms.

The school is situated in a very pleasant area of Kowloon and shares a campus with a secondary school and a professional development centre for ESF teachers. It is also adjacent to an ESF primary school, with opportunities for integration.

The catchment area for the school is the whole of Hong Kong and special attention is made to providing a reliable and efficient bus service for students. The school has three buses, each equipped with a hydraulic lift and telephone.
