Educating the International Leaders of Tomorrow

South Island is a dynamic, innovative and forward looking international school on the south side of Hong Kong island. It caters for 1,300 students from 30 different nations.

The school prides itself on its international outlook and its high academic standards, combined with the development of students' personal qualities, 21st century skills and community responsibility.

A key school aim is to ensure that young people become active, independent and lifelong learners, so that when they leave school and enter university and the world of work they will carry their commitment to learning with them.

South Island provides both a caring and a high expectation ethos. It has places for students who require significant additional learning support and a programme for gifted students. The close partnership with parents is a key feature of the school.

The curriculum is enriched by many local and overseas trips and there is a very extensive programme of extra-curricular activities.
