Rising Star Conductor Perry So returned to KGV to share success stories
Perry So, Associate Conductor of Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra visited his home school -- King George V School on 1 March and had a good session with the School Orchestra. The school song, which has its symphonic arrangement made a couple years ago, had a polished performance under Perry's baton.
Students were very serious for the first ten minutes until Perry began to share his experience when he was a student here. His debut conducting performance was when he was in Year 10. Perry then asked them to relax and enjoy their music. One of the musicians responded to Perry's call because "you are famous!". The school song will be performed in the upcoming KGV Gala Dinner in April.
