Simon Osborne possesses an Associate Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and has a background in finance and investment. He is currently Managing Editor of Asian Investor and www.asianinvestor.net; responsible for alternative investment content. He previously worked as Finance and Economics Correspondent for United Press International (Indonesia), specialising in news agency articles and features on Southeast Asian financial and economic topics. 

Prior to his work as a journalist and editor, Mr Osborne spent two years at Credit Suisse Financial Products, Hong Kong, where he was employed as Derivatives Credit Risk Portfolio Manager (Asia Pacific) and six years working for NM Rothschild & Sons Ltd, England as a Credit Analyst in the UK Property Finance Department.  

Mr Osborne is the author of book: ‘A Farang Guide to the SET 50,’ written while he was employed as a freelance BBC Asia correspondent.
