Educational Psychology Assessments
ESF is pleased to announce the expansion of the School-based Educational Psychology service. From August 2014, we will have four Educational Psychologists available to support ESF schools.
The decision to increase the team has been made following feedback from the ESF community regarding the positive contributions made by the existing team and ongoing requests for additional support from the Educational Psychologists.
In order to meet the needs of the ESF community, the team will no longer be providing private educational psychology assessments, consultation or training to either ESF, or non-ESF, students and schools.
Our Educational Psychologists, Nicki Holmes, Tim Conroy-Stocker, Jalak Patel and Moira Conroy-Stocker, will continue to provide support on a whole school, class and individual basis as well as working with the Foundation to provide training and input in a range of priority areas.
Individual work with students will continue to be organised through discussions with school staff. If you are concerned about your child’s progress and would like to know about what support is available, please speak to your school’s Special Educational Needs or Inclusion Co-ordinator.
Speech and Language Assessments
The ESF Speech & Language Therapy service employs two Therapists, Vanessa Sweeny and Vicky Topps to provide parent-funded therapy. Both are registered to practice by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT, UK). Sites include Abacus, Wu Kai Sha, and Hillside Kindergartens, plus Quarry Bay School. We offer consultation, assessment and specialist intervention. Please contact the Therapy Centre for further information and fees.
