Pre-Nursery

ESF Tung Chung International Kindergarten launched ESF’s first Pre-Nursery (PN) programme for toddlers aged of two. The programme is led by a team of certified Early Childhood educators and EDB registered childcare workers who are dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for your young child.

As well as being the best possible start to your child’s education, enrolling in a PN prgramme also gives you priority when it comes to applying for our Tung Chung kindergarten.

To enrol in our exceptional early childhood education. Please click here to apply.

The application will open from 1 to 30 April 2023.

Admissions Criteria

Children who are two years old may start in a PN class. Children not reaching two years old by the start of school may waitlist until they reach two. The place will be offered based on availability.

Submit an Online Application

The PN programme applications are made from 1 to 30 April in the year your child turns two. Central Application for PN may be made through the Online Admissions System (OAS) accessed via the Tung Chung Kindergarten website. Currently, only Tung Chung Kindergarten offers PN.

Applications received during the month of April will have a computer-generated random number. Applications will be ranked by priority category and assigned a random number for a PN place. There is no screening process involved.

AM/PM allocation will be assigned firstly according to priority and random number order until all AM places are filled. There is no guarantee of an AM place.

Moving on to ESF K1

Priority for K1 is contingent upon children completing the PN course at the attending kindergarten. Withdrawal from the ESF PN is considered as withdrawal from the ESF Kindergarten.

Admission for K1 central applications is made in the month of September for entry to kindergarten the following academic year. All PN priority children will need to attend a ‘play-visit’ to secure a K1 place.

Children joining the PN class after the K1 September central application period will also gain priority for processing.
