Mr Mervyn Jacob has lived and worked in Hong Kong since 1989. He is a Chartered Accountant and was a partner in PwC Hong Kong for 25 years, retiring from the firm in 2020. He joined PwC in Dublin in 1982 and also worked in Sydney, Australia before moving to Hong Kong. During his PwC career, he worked as an auditor with a broad range of domestic and international clients in different industries.
He now works as an adviser to various companies in Hong Kong and is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Arnhold Holdings Ltd. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of The Irish Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong. Born in Ireland, Mervyn is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (CAI) and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). He graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies. He is a Founding Member and Past President of the Irish Business Forum of Hong Kong, which subsequently became the Irish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
