Dr Vindya Bhat was a mathematics professor at New York University. She taught discrete mathematics, linear algebra and various special topics courses. Her research interests are combinatorics and graph theory, with a focus on Ramsey theory. Prior to her academic appointment, Vindya was a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
She is committed to education and outreach. Vindya spent a gap year as a volunteer teacher at a bilingual school in an underserved community in Honduras. In graduate school, she contributed to a bank of STEM-focused IBL lessons accessed by secondary schools across America. More recently, she served on a committee for the inaugural science fair at an NYC elementary school.
Vindya and her family moved to Hong Kong in 2021. Her two daughters attend ESF schools, Peak School and Hillside.
