The project will focus on the teaching and learning of measurement concepts in Yr 1 – 3 Participants are asked to adjust their teaching program for the 2017-2018 school year so that the teaching of a measurement unit is scheduled sometime between December and end of March.

Participants are asked to:

– attend two professional training days, one before the start of the teaching and one after;

– induct teachers in their teams to the lessons proposed and the approach to teaching;

– arrange for students to complete the online surveys and other assessments prior to and after each unit;

– ensure that students from a mix of achievement levels participate in the lesson sequences and complete the surveys
