A professional learning day at which teachers will focus on the opportunities and processes of incorporating challenges into their current repertoires.

The day will provide the rationale for the approach and will present a series of experiences that challenge secondary students focusing on aspect of algebra.

In particular the day will focus on the pedagogical strategies, especially introducing tasks appropriately, processes for differentiating the learning, strategies for reviewing student work, and the importance of posing further challenges that consolidate the learning from the first experience.
