The Zones of Regulation

7 February, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

HK$300

The Zones of Regulation is a straightforward and easy to use programme that is designed to foster self-regulation and emotional control.

This workshop will support participants’ understanding of the four Zones (blue, green, yellow and red) and how they relate to different feelings and/or levels of alertness.

Participants will become familiar with the different tools used by the programme to support students to stay calm and alert.

They will also leave the workshop with an understanding of how to support students to use and apply the tools.

The session will provide information about how to work with groups or individuals using the Zones of Regulation including how each of the 18 lessons contained in the programme are structured and delivered.

Practical tips, based on real-life implementation of the Zones of Regulation programme at Beacon Hill School, will be shared and there will be an opportunity to consider how the Zones can be taught in your own setting.

Please note: it would be useful, although not essential, for participants to have gained some knowledge of Social Thinking prior to attending this session.
