Discovery College opened in 2007 and moved to a new, purpose-built campus in Discovery Bay in August 2008. The College is an IB World School offering the PYP, MYP and Diploma programmes to students in Years 1 to 13, with a maximum roll of 1,560 students.
The College's Vision Statement of Grow. Discover. Dream., recognises the need for students to be independent, critical and creative thinkers, equipped with the skills, attitudes and values to contribute positively in this complex world in which we live.
The College uses English as the medium for teaching and learning, with a strong emphasis on the acquisition of Chinese (Putonghua) as a second language. A wide range of subjects is offered through a robust academic curriculum, including the performing and creative arts (drama, music, visual arts and design), strongly supported by the use of ICT.
Discovery College has no catchment area in its admission policy and students from all over Hong Kong can apply to study.
