ESF Invitational Tag Rugby Tournament
On Friday 18 March 16 rugby teams from across ESF and Hong Kong attended the ESF Invitational Tag Rugby Tournament at Kennedy School.
The competition was split into two stages, with four groups of four teams competing to qualify for either the Cup, Bowl or Plate. This stage was extremely close, with some groups being decided by a single try.
DBIS, Discovery College, Glenealy and Clearwater Bay won their respective groups and moved into the Cup Competition. DBIS won this with a 100% record in their round robin.
Kowloon Junior School, Bradbury, Kellett and Quarry Bay were runners up in their groups so moved into the Bowl Competition which was won by Kellett, who also had a 100% record.
Beacon Hill School, Chinese International, DBIS 2 and Kennedy were third placed in qualifying so moved into the Plate Competition which was won by Beacon Hill with another 100% record.
Many thanks to the four referees from the Hong Kong RFC who volunteered throughout the day.
