Parents wishing their child to transfer from an ESF kindergarten to an ESF primary school need to submit a transfer application for Year 1 (available only on Gateway). All ESF primary school offers are accepted with a two-year commitment before any transfer request regardless of residential address.
Applications are processed according to current residential address at the time of application; change of residential address following submission of application and prior to entry to Year 1 will not be considered.
All K2 students enrolled in an ESF kindergarten by the end of November are guaranteed a place in an ESF primary school on completion of K2, with the following provisions:
- A student joining before the end of K1 is guaranteed a place at a primary school;
- A student joining K2 on or after 23 August 2022 is guaranteed an ESF primary school place;
A student joining K2 after November cannot be guaranteed a primary school place but will be given high priority on waitlist for a Year 1 place.
Important notes:
- ESF reserves the right to redirect students if there is overcapacity at any of the primary schools.
- ESF is not able to guarantee the school place or the preferred school as there is overcapacity at certain primary schools.
